4 skincare tips to improve your routine at 0 cost

Caring for your skin is an investment, but there are still steps you can take to improve your beauty routine without spending a cent.

Read on to discover some small but significant changes you can make to really make a ritual of your routine.

1. Hygiene first

The more you do to counteract external contaminating agents, the better. That’s why first tip is to make the following actions part of your daily habits. They will only take up a little time, and they’ll make a huge difference.

- Disinfect your phone daily.

- Wash your pillowcases every week.

- Never sleep with your makeup on.

2. It’s all in the water

Hydrating your skin is not only achieved with moisturizers and oils. So make sure to drink plenty of water every day, your skin will thank you for it.

Temperature matters: just like showering with very hot water will dehydrate your skin, using freezing cold or scalding hot water on your face is not advisable. So remember: wash your face with lukewarm water, never hot or cold.

3. Ice Queen

Applying ice to your face can improve blood circulation and therefore reduce puffiness and revitalize your skin. You can also use an ice cube to help minimize breakouts.

And if you do it at the beginning of your beauty ritual, it will also help your skin absorb your skincare products.

4. Order matters

Your skincare routine should always start with your hands. They’re your tool in this ritual, so you need them to be spotless.

After the hands, move on to your mouth. Did you know that toothpaste can cause skin irritation? That’s why we recommend brushing your teeth before washing your face and applying your products.
